Research applied to a sample group of 100 family sustainers living in the Jordan Valley area, one of the most densely formed areas in Jordan. Findings show that over 35% of the sample population grew grains, only second to the growing of vegetables in the area; Women participated in weeding, seed sowing and land preparation. Hence the advancement of the girls' level of education over that of women - only 5% of the girls are illiterate against 85% of women.Affiliations
