Chemical Sciences

In continuation to our study on chemical and biological investigation of traditional and ethno botanical important medicinal plants, a detailed investigation has been undertaken on Sarcococca species, Dioscorea species, Ephedra species, Argemona Mexicana and Tridex Procumbens. A number of biologically active chemical constituents, namely Epipachysamine, Axillarine, 23-hydroxyl and 24-methylenecycloartanol, 3-hydroxyoleanane, 28-13- alpha olide, flavonoids and number of triterpenoids were isolated and identified.
