I am a microbiologist passionate about microbial biotechnology. My main areas of interest are bioprospecting of natural products, fungal ecophysiology, and biocontrol. I have worked with fungi since 2012; however, I am always eager to learn about the biotechnological potential of other microbial friends. I currently live in Quito, Ecuador. I enjoy writing and teaching Spanish as a second language. In my free time, I practice kendo (Japanese fencing).
