Current Research Activities

Astronomy, Space and Earth Sciences

Currently, I am working at the Ethiopian Space science and technology Institute (ESSTI), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as an Associate researcher. My research area (interest) focuses on evaluating surface energy balance representation by climate models over Ethiopia.

Current profession

Current professional activities type:
Research
Currently, I am working on surface energy balance to quantify the impacts of land surfaces on regional weather/climate and air quality. This modeling work involves (a) solving land surface schemes: energy, radiation, and turbulence closure schemes typical for land surface scale roughness, and (b) numerical computation involving computer programs such as FORTRAN, C, C++, and (c) data analysis and visualization using computer programs: PYTHON and NCL(PYNGL).
