Initiative promoted more than 12 years ago by the Department of Leadership of the UAI Business School and the newspaper El Mercurio. Every year, the contest highlights those people who, before the age of 35, have made a contribution to make Chile a better country. This, from fields as diverse as education, sports, art, entrepreneurship, science and technology.

Mujeres Empresarias together with newspaper El Mercurio held the "100 Women Leaders" Award with the aim of making female leadership visible in Chile, and distinguishing women who stand out for their contribution to the social and economic development of the country in five categories: (i) Entrepreneurs; (ii) Executive; (iii) Professionals, Academics and Researchers; (iv) Public Service; and (iv) Social Service.

(4 years Grant) This scholarship aims to finance doctoral studies in all areas of knowledge and in any country, except Chile. In this way, it is sought that the graduates, upon their return to the country, apply the knowledge acquired and contribute with them to scientific, academic, economic, social and cultural development.

(3 years Grant) The objective of this contest is to stimulate the productivity and future scientific leadership of people recently started in research and who have an academic degree of Doctor (according to the provisions of the bases that govern this contest), by carrying out research projects with a view to to their labor insertion in the academic field or another and to their interaction and collaboration with consolidated research groups.

The mission of the OAD is to further the use of astronomy, in all its aspects, as a tool for development. One of the primary ways the OAD implements its mission is through the Call for Proposals, which have been conducted annually since 2012. Every year, the OAD invites proposals for projects that use astronomy as a tool to address one or more challenges related to sustainable development. The call for proposals is open to anyone from anywhere in the world. The OAD Call for Proposals is conducted in two stages, where only a limited number of proposals from Stage 1 will be invited to submit a Stage 2 proposal.
