Synthesis of photosensitizers (phthalocyanines,Pcs) and characterisation using FTIR, UV-Vis, 1H NMR, MALDI-TOF mass spectroscopies and elemental analyses. The Pcs are linked to nanopartcles and XPS used to confirm the linkage. The photophysichochemical behaviour and photodynamic therapy of activity of the Pc and its conjugates with NPs are studied against epithelial breast cancer cells (MCF-7 cells).
