As a researcher, I assisting Professor Hasabo Abdelbagi in the supervision of two of his students in which I gained experience in the fabrication and characterization of nanomaterials. We prepared copper nanoparticles and silver/chitosan nanocomposite by solution-based processing methods. The prepared nanomaterials were characterized by X-ray diffraction and UV-vis, FTIR, and scanning electron microscopy. In my master’s research, I investigated the origin of the change in the structural, electronic and optical properties of hydrogen titanate in terms of the neutral defects introduced into its lattice with a rigorous description of the spectral analysis, the spatial distribution, and the optical transitions of the excitons. Currently, I am participating in different research activities in one of the Africa City of Technology incubators. As the founder of Research for Sudan Community Building (R4SCB) Society, I am responsible for implementing and enforcing its objectives by creating and organizing programs and activities that raise awareness about the important role of academic research. Moreover, I am making connections and founding partnerships with different stakeholders.
