Current Research Activities

Agricultural Sciences

Research focuses on molecular biology of plant abiotic stress resistance, genetic engineering for plant disease resistance, and biosafety research of transgenic crops. Currently main job is to determine whether components of cotton CBF regulon system are conserved across plan taxa and to determine the role that these homologous systems play in mediating low temperature responsiveness and cold acclimation and freezing tolerance in plants.
