 Prepare and effectively teach lecture notes to nursing, laboratory sciences and pharmacy students; deliver tutorials, practicals, and exams questions for courses taught.  Participate in running exams and supervising of year three (Higher National Diplomaand BSc) medical laboratory science students on end of course dissertation write ups, research practice and thesis writing.  Data management procedures :- data entry, results generation and upload unto the CPC virology unit data base.  Performing laboratory-based safety and quality control procedures in line with handling a biosafety level 3 (BSL 3) pathogen.  Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for analysing of SARS corona virus 2 and other pathogens, ensuring that samples are analysed according to SOPs, and adjusting SOPs as the need arise in line with standards (manufacturer’s instructions based on analytical kit in use).  Performing the necessary microbiological laboratory procedures (from sample reception, processing, analyses using RT-PCR, to results interpretation and generation) involved in the COVID-19 diagnosis.
