Biological Systems and Organisms

I work in disease prevention, nutrition, and analysis of immunological responses under different stressors and treatments. I am interested in the mass production of new-generation probiotics and symbiotics as prophylactics for disease control and reducing antibiotic use, which adversely affects the aquatic environment and consumers. I am also working in biotechnology studies to evaluate the bioactive potential of microorganisms in different applications such as sunscreen formulations, new antibiotic molecules, and other activities of interest to the industry.
