Current profession

Current professional activities type:
Research
I am doing research activities which encompass dairy foods safety, value addition on dairy products and dairy processing methods which are affordable for small scale farmers. In addition to this, I am providing trainings for dairy producers and processors, dairy cooperative, undergraduate and postgraduate students and development agents on dairy technologies adoption and research outputs. Hence, my research activities are focused on dairy product safety and quality, development of value added dairy products and dairy product preservation techniques which is the remedy for problems related obstruction for dairy safety and quality in my country. Food safety and quality are a growing concern all over the world particularly from human health point of view. In Ethiopia most research focused on increasing milk production without giving much emphasis to safety and quality of dairy products. Safety of food is a basic requirement of food quality that implies absence or acceptable and safe levels of contaminants, adulterants and naturally occurring toxins like aflatoxin
