Current Research Activities
Astronomy, Space and Earth Sciences
*Groundbreaking participation in developing the most advanced code (SKIRT code https://skirt.ugent.be) in the astronomical community that studies the light from galaxies, both photometrically and spectroscopically. *Studying the dust energy balance problem in spiral galaxies based on high-resolution hydrodynamics simulations. *Studying the formation and evolution of galaxies across cosmic time, which is one of the most important topics in modern astronomy. * Investigate galaxy evolution is cosmological hydrodynamics simulations. These simulations numerically emulate all the physical processes at play in the formation and evolution of galaxies, in a fully cosmological framework.
