About me
My research interests lie in sustainable and green chemistry, particularly the development of biopolymers, bio-derived chemicals, and biomass-based materials for oilfield applications. As a dedicated educator, I have taught and mentored students in various chemistry disciplines and actively contribute to the academic and professional community through reviews, conferences, and volunteer roles. I aim to advance sustainable solutions within our industries by exploring eco-friendly alternatives.
I am a dedicated and hardworking intellectual with a passion for revamping the education system through innovative research in my field of study and imparting the necessary knowledge and expertise to enable students to become qualified chemists. My motivation for success, goal-oriented mentality, and sound initiative, alongside good analytical and problem-solving skills, integrity, honesty, and good interpersonal relationship skills, have endeared me to my students, mentors, colleagues, and researchers in academia. As an academic, I strive to achieve excellence in all I do, thus attaining professional distinction and proficiency.
As an Industrial Chemist (focused on Formulations), my research focuses on developing green and environmentally sustainable chemicals for industrial utilization via waste valorization and/or chemical modification.
