Olanike is a food scientist and researcher specializing in food processing and nutrition security, with multiple awards and international research experience.
Olanike is a food scientist with academic and professional expertise in food processing and nutrition security. She holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology from Obafemi Awolowo University, where she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. Her professional experiences include teaching, factory management, and research roles in projects with the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST), Wageningen University, Food Health Systems Advisory, and the Institute of Food Technologists. She published research on sweet potato flour and climate-smart agricultural practices, and her work earned her awards such as the Mike Jimenez Scholarship, the GAIN-IPAN Scholarship, and the AGE Global Excellence Award. Beyond her research, she actively contributes to professional bodies, including NIFST, IFT, OWSD, and IIAS, and mentors students and small-scale businesses in food science for improved food security.
