I did my PhD in the chemistry department of the Faculty of Engineering of Lund University, Sweden. There, I worked in the field of environmental biotechnology. My topic of research was heavy metals treatment working with various types of polluted waters. I did not only studied biological ways to treat them, I also combined physicochemical treatments using small sized particles to remove metals.

Project based on Environmental Biotechnology, where I studied bacteria for precipitating metals from acid drainage waters coming from two important mines of Bolivia.
