Doctorate Biological Systems and Organisms
Doctoral study was on optimising production of exopolysaccharides from microbial sources- Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and studying production kinetics.
Exopolysaccharides were checked for their ability as reducing aent in silver nanoparticle synthesis and also as an antioxidant.
The doctoral studies were useful to the society in utilising the exopolysaccharides as biopolymeric substances which could be a substitute to chemical polymers

M.Tech. Biotech was specified to technological aspects of biotechnology like fermentation technology, production of bioproducts and downstream processing etc.
M.Sc. Biotech was to study the biological aspects like immunology, genetics, molecular biology etc.

Microbiology dealt with the microbial agents in the world and studied elaborately on various fields of microbiology like clinical, environmental, etc. Also learnt biochemistry, immunology, and other fields of microbiology.
